Gameloft, forever cranking out iPhone games, surprised us today with a previously un-announced Shrek platformer, coming soon for iPhone and iPod Touch.

Why this remained hidden to us during their Paris event last week, who knows! The game sees you playing 11 levels as the ogre hero in what looks to be both a 3rd person and sidescrolling platformer. The sidescrolling looks similar to their other platformer ‘Castle of Magic’, while the 3D sections looks akin to Rayman or Crash Bandicoot. We’re always dubious of anygame with the subtitle ‘the game’, just look at Kick Ass!.. but for now we’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
